Serie A relegation-threatened Parma have appointed former Romanian defender Cristian Chivu as their new head coach on a one-and-a-half-year deal. Parma have decided to sack Fabio Pecchia as coach on Monday after the team suffered four consecutive league defeats and fell into the relegation zone.
